Are any of the harbors in the Milwaukee area froze in yet? The lagoon behind Summer Fest grounds? Getting the itch for browns through the ice REAL bad!!!

Talked with my fishing buddies down there and they are still launching boats out of the marina. It is not looking good this year. I did hear they were catching browns from shore and having a blast.

Skimmed over last night. Tom Gursky and I are putting my boat in the morning at National. McKin also had skim ice. West winds today was drawing a strong current out the gaps.

Ah my favorite landing. Always good for a laugh driving around that neighborhood.

When using that launch,I remove anything of value from the truck while at home. I leave a $5 bill just peeking out the mostly closed ashtray. I leave the doors unlocked and the driver’s side wondow down just enough to reach a hand thru.

I don’t want a potential thief to have to “break” in. The $5 is so he doesn’t leave mad. I also pick my nights – I like drizzle. It insures that the good spot’s vacant and I figure petty thieves don’t work in inclement weather.

    So far so good.
