Would like to purchase a home deep fryer that will get 375 or higher, large capacity, oil filtering, air filtering and can throw most of its parts in the dishwasher for clean up.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Happy New Year!

I would second that but would also put Waring Pro (proffessional models) on top of Emerils but they are more money…either would be your top line picks.

Americas test kitchen just had them on an episode today. Check out their web site for the results.

The BEST home deep fryer….but they don’t come cheap!

    Sometimes whines a lot too.

One of the pluses is that it cleans up after it’s self.

    Other than that, highly recommended.

I looked at the Waring Pro Fryers and still got the Emerilware one, I didn’t like the enamel coating on the oil container, thought that with the high temps stainless was a better choice.

Waring Pro all the way! Well worth the $80 had mine for years and it still looks like new and works like new. Waring Pro

I have tried many deep fat fryers and found them to be awkward, cumbersome, and used way too much oil. And they are a pain in the you-know-what to clean.

The Fry-Daddy is just the fryer and is very easy to clean. They also have a Fry-Baby which is a much smaller fryer.

    I agree with Jeremy.
been through I don’t know how many — The Fry Daddy is the best that I have used over 40 years of deep frying fish.
Keeps temp and uses less oil than any I have used.
One I have now I have been using for well over ten years.
I picked up more of them for family members and have a spare just waiting for the old girl to die.
Plus it is easy to throw in and take with you on any trips.

T-Fal FR8000. Its a newer version of the Emeril branded unit mentioned earlier. Its been a solid performer for me. Easy to use and easy to clean. When I was looking at fryers, my decision came down to this and the Waring. Not sure anymore why I chose this unit, but have been happy with the choice.

An enameled (or not) dutch oven or even a cast iron pan, the added benefit multi purpose. They also can be raised in temp easily for higher temps, which is great for double frying fries.
I’ve never owned a dedicated deep frier but I’ve seen them after their used after a while and they look rather discusting where as my ductch oven looks the same and the cast iron pans get more beautiful.

I bought a Ninja Deep Fryer two years ago, and it is the best deep fryer I have ever owned.

Too funny. When you look at the website…you can’t get it anyhow.

Fry Daddy’s are fine if your cooking a meal for yourself or small family… for a big group, you cannot beat the basket immersion type fryers. Same concept as the Fry Daddy, (but a basket that actually works) for draining and mixing. Yeah they take more oil, (probably a quart more) but they are much easier to cook large amounts, the also have the green light, to let you know its at temp, my Fry Daddy does not have that, maybe newer ones do ? I picked up one of the “cool touch” ones a few years ago and rarely use the Fry Daddy now. waytogo

I should have asked the question differently.
I’m looking for an electric to be able and fry outside on the deck.

Honestly, I was actively looking for a deep fryer too but I realized that I would be spending upwards of $200 for something that would be used once a month and a pita to clean up.

I’d get one of these and either put it on your gas grill or find a good electric hot plate to put it on.

    Food for thought.

Get an electric fry pan. Canalo oil and shore lunch hamms and you’re golden
