What to do in the winter time? Get the boat out. Ice to thick? Dont think you are trying hard enough. These guys might be a little nut even for my standards.

I don’t understand:They risk damaging the boat and they aren’t even going fishing?

It took 45 minutes for me to get my boat off the trailer and out of the launch bay a couple weeks ago but I had a legitimate reason to go. Besides,my boat’s got an aluminum hull. It still cost me $24 to replace the led taillight I broke on the ice.

    Hey Mike!
That was just like you and I trying to fish P-2 last year (2010)…breaking ice with the ol Alumacraft. Just shows you how tough Yammys are!

Going to have to remember the old ax on a stick trick. What stink tom is just about every time i go threw busting a ton of ice to fish the fish are not biting. We caught one last night.

You would think that gene pool would thin itself out.

That had to of been a thick hulled boat. Sure didnt look like their first trip out doing this. Reading some of the comments it sounds like they race that boat. Had to of been a stainless prop to. Not sure if any other motor than a yamaha would stand up to the beating the ice was giving.
