Jesse and I were in the area as well.

We returned a number of short ones jigging at the vermilion in the morning, then off to do some filming/comparisons.

I had a flathead just CRUSH a treble hook loaded with stink bait ) and Jesse made the most unusual channel cat catch I’ve ever seen.

We captured crappies, sunfish, channel cats, flatheads, a gar, walleye, sauger on video all from the Y up. Missed a couple of pike because the video wasn’t running and ran into the largest school of shad I’ve ever seen!

We pulled three ways through the Vermilion area tonight and picked up a dozen more.

Thanks to all that drained their trailers on the back channel ramp! It was an awesome day to be on the water!!

We were out as well, got on the water shortly after 9 – for 2 guys, we caught 40 saugers – 12 keepers and one 35″ sturgeon (accidentally) – (meat mostly) great day to be on the water, just hung around the y til 2 when we ran out of minnows… December boat fishing without any freeze ups at all. Great!!
