Quote:
In the tune of Alan Jackson’s “Remember When”
Remember When….The Packers seemed so great
nowwwww looking back
they lost to a team that’s 6-8.
It was so fun
now they’re done
chasing something grrreat…..Remember When.
Remember When……. They could not be beat
Thennn the O-line
Couldn’t keep Rogers on his feet
He was exposed, and they lost
but the fans say it’s a good thing…..Remember When.
Remember When……..Brees just smiled and watched
Jussssst knowing that
He’ll get his crack at them
brees throws for 4, and runs 2 more,
As Rogers hits the floorrr……Remember when.
Someone must be really envious and “bitter” to spend the time to put “spin” on something as trivial as a loss in professional football. I’m pretty sure there were very few Packer fans that actually believed, from the beginning of the season, that they would remain unbeaten throughout the season. As the season progressed it looked more possible. With week 15 and 16 opponents who they were, it looked more attainable. The game against KC ended up being a “trap game”, or looking past an opponent to the “brass ring”. I’m quite sure that the Lions,in week 17, would not have been a team that the Pack would have looked past. Green Bay is not the best team in history….they are a poor defensive team with an average offensive line that is now plagued with injury, a running game that leaves something to be desired, with a QB that is on fire and a receiving group that up until the past couple of weeks had “ball magnets” in their hands. If they can overcome the “yips” the receivers are having and come up with some sort of defensive adjustment that will stop another powerful offensive team, they will do well. If not, we will sit and watch the play-offs and see our team go down in defeat. Hopefully we will not end up being “bitter” like our NFC North adversaries to our west.
