I was looking at getting COD black ops and/or Sims 3 for the xbox. The used games at Gamestop are about half the price.
The xbox stores all the game play data, correct? So a used game should play the same, if it has no scratches or damage right?
Does anyone have opinions on new vs used?

I’ve bought used for the Wii and for my son’s DS. I did have a scratched game once, but gamestop refunded my money without question. We have a non franchised game shop in LaCrosse, and I can usually find better deals there. But Gamestop is good also.
Gamestop has like a 7 day warranty too, so if a game didnt work for some reason they’ll find you another or refund you, I only had a problem once with a game the my xbox didn’t like, finally I found a disk that worked, 10 others have been perfect.
Gotta watchout buying some used games though because if the original owner activated the online code then you won’t be able to get on yourself because it’s under his gamer tag. All ea sports games are like that. Some others too

just picked up this game at Best Buy. they have a used game place that has tons of things people have returned. I recently traded some of my old games (madden 09) and got a GC to buy some ‘newer’ games for me.

I’d check out Ebay too.
You do need to be watchful of some games if you plan on playing online.
I know the Battlefield series you need to have a code to play online.
You wont get that from a used game.
I found out the hard way that original xbox games will not work on xbox 360.At least the Ford racing 3 game did not
