henny Prescott, WIPosts: 121 December 9, 2011 at 12:18 pm #1016149 i spray my line and eyelets with reel magic. both open water and on ice. but open water swishing rod in water takes care of it most times but still spay with reel magic. I keep a can with my ice gear and in the boat.

Many of the new rods for the inside of a portable have smaller eyes and once outside, they ice up bad.
