Rod eyes ice

    Sorry for asking this question again. What is the best way to try and keep ice from forming on rod eyes?

    i spray my line and eyelets with reel magic. both open water and on ice. but open water swishing rod in water takes care of it most times but still spay with reel magic. I keep a can with my ice gear and in the boat.

    turn the furnace up….

    I use rods with over sized eyes for outdoor rods.

    I have a couple rods that I built for myself that have larger eyes on the blank and that seems to take care of alot of my icing issues.

    Many of the new rods for the inside of a portable have smaller eyes and once outside, they ice up bad.
