First thing is to make sure that your files are saved in *.jpg format. That will usually do the trick right there. If they are *.jpgs and still too large, I’d start cropping the picture down until it gets under 100KB….

    If a file is a “file”.BMP

    1. simply change the name to file.jpg

    2. Open the newly changed file

    3. RE-SAVE it as a *.jpg AGAIN. This is the part that will drop the file size down.

    hope that helps…if not….PM me

Try changing the resolution of the photo too. Most photo editing softwareallows you to do this. I usually do that before I crop the pic. If anything, e-mail it to me and I can adjust it to fit for you.

Kind of releated to a few of the ideas above, but… Your PC probably already has the software to do it. If you use your mouse and right click on the photo and the click edit. it should open it and then under image there will be a stretch/skew. Click on that and you can shrink the file as many times as you want. Just another idea.

I’m not sure about the free addition, but I have adobe photoshop elements ($100 or less anywhere, well worth the $) and use the “save for web” option, and the pics turn out great, and are normally sized well under the limits. You can also turn down the quality of you camera to make the pic smaller to start with.
