Ya know something else is if we had a list where everybody could see where the top 500 products, thats used the most often come from, it would probably be mind blowing. All in the name of making big profits. Its no wonder most of our steel mills that were running in the 60’s aren’t there anymore. Wheres the steel come from that used in autos and heavy equipment and machinery. Your thread Steve really makes me wonder where everythings coming from now, I thought maybe 50% at worst was being shipped in, now I can see in alot of industries its almost total imports, its got me wondering now how bad it really is.
I do remember seeing a report about 10-15 years ago that our government then made it possible for the Japanese to bring floating sawmills on big freighters and set up off the coast of Oregan. They bought thier logs here, sawed them into lumber plus made other roducts and then sold the products back to America as sawn lumber, plywood and other products. Its no wonder the logging industry had problems with this kind of selling out of American jobs. Its too bad there isn’t a website where you could go to too find out whos products are made where befor we buy. A website named Made In America Products.
