Thanks Jeff, well stated.
I guote Pikeslayer from another post on a different site.
I have to say that when this story first evolved, I did not think much would come of it. OK, some guys found some fish guts with a few game fish discarded with them. I thought an offense that is not procecutable, no apparent eye witnesses. Man, this is going nowhere. I am so pleased to be wrong.
Gotta throw out big giant props out to Fishnutbob and to a lesser extent, Hawgboy. Fishnutbob piked up the ball and through due diligence, ripped the lid off on this case and have the authorities poised to really make a positive change. Lots of crazies out there, watch your back Fishnutbob!
This is a case of an individual, making a big difference in the fishing community. A very fine example.
Thank you
Pikeslayer 8 thank you. I had the same feeling as you Ill report it and nothing really changes. No charges nets still in who cares just dont do anything all my efforts about this wasted.
This is what anyone can do to change things just do something. And this time it worked hopefully to protect the resource for all of us US Citizens.
Another person who has worked diligently for equal rites for everyone and to stop the netting on Mille lacs is.
Mr, Steve Fellegy I guote him “Our fight is NOT with American Indians. It is with the U.S. Government.
Thank you Steve for your hard work.
In the short term, our intent is to put an end to exclusive rights that the U.S. Government allows Native Americans to exercise at Lake Mille Lacs, Minnesota and, ultimately, all over the entire nation. Our effort is based on the fact that all United States citizens are born equal, no matter of skin color nor ethnic origin and that all should enjoy their citizenry and natural resources equally.
