Just wondering. Have you cut yourself with that knife? I have and will not go near one.

Curious how the knife would be at fault for cutting someone…

Not to change subject, but those are neat looking knives.I’ve never used one.
Is it worth a purchase? I’ve always used a Rapala knive, but willing to change…..

If you mail it to Don (knife inventor), he will sharpen for free and return to you. Just send with a note and return address.

My Brother has a Leech lake knife and I can do a pretty good job on them. The problem is I’m a little far south for your needs.

They are worth it. My dad has had 2 for a very long time, probably when they first came out. We mainly use electric now but when its comes to a fillet knife I havent used a better one.

The knife would not be at fault, but the double edge makes cutting oneself more likely, IMO. I have used several of them and they definitely are a quality instrument. I love the way they look. I have not seen the fillet method demonstrated that uses the top (second)edge. My finger cuts have been from that top edge that I did not use.

There is a shop in Hastings called “Lazer Sharp” on 19th and Vermillion. I believe they do medical instruments. May be worth a check.

After buying this sharpener, you will be able to do it your self. Beleive me, I have tried about every sharpener around. I was at a sport show last year and bought a Work Sharp knife sharpener. Took it to the lake last summer and ended up sharpening every knife in the camp ground including the electric knife blades. Cabelas now sells them but gets $20 more for the nice carry case. I have also used it to sharpen lawn mower blades. The ax at the lake is so sharp, I think I could shave with it. http://www.worksharptools.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=90

Bought one at Cabelas earlier this year. Couldn’t agee more. I have tried quite a few different sharpeners. This one rocks!

I saw that sharpener in a Famliy Handyman Mag. It was the first item I put on my Christmas list. The online reviews were good but it is nice too hear that it works like it says it does from someone I know.

Absolutely love the Knife, but HATE the double edge. Hardly use it because of that! Cut 1 to many times

Not to jack this post but would like to hear feedback from those who bought the Worksharp Sharpener. Also…..be sure to warn everyone in the house when you sharpen the knives. Had one daughter to the ER from a cut.

I’d highly suggest to watch the video on the DVD they send with the product. Cut’s the learning curve if ya know what I mean… I mean I would NEVER use a new toy without reading the manual. No never.
