Trying to get some ideas for the best way to secure the remote for Troll Master. I will entertain all ideas cause flipped over my steering wheel isnt cutting it. Now is a good time to rig it out for next season before I have to hit the road for work.

It should have came with a cell phone clip (similar to cb microphone mount), if not they are cheap at any wireless store….female end gets velcroed to dash and male to the vack of the control unit….easily removed if you want to use it elseware in boat and securely mounted in you wanna run it with one hand at the helm!

I made a small plate out of an old motorcycle licence plate. same size except a little longer. Put the longer end at the bottom and used two screws. I screwed it to the dash of my lund. Pull it out away a little and put a zip lock bag over it when raining. Seen to many go down when they get wet. Of course Erie wet and wet around here are a little different.

Your spelling might be off but your answer was spot on.

I used Velcro pads and stuck them in places I would use it.

I like all those ideas, but with that being said how prone are they to malfunctioning if they get wet. I have seen the series I go out when they get wet.

I velcro mine to the dash, and also have velcro on the wall under the dash so if it is raining really hard, I can move it under the dash and it doesn’t get wet. It is a little harder to see the dial under there, but I can still adjust it and hit the buttons fairly easily. It has to be raining pretty hard for me to move it under there though. Haven’t had an issue from it getting wet yet.

Velcro pads all the way!! Mine has never moved. Mounted right next to main motor throttle
