About the only special flourocarbon knot I do is take better care when snugging the knot. In addition, flourocarbon lines have less shock strength compared to your typical nylon fishing lines. So I change my hook set some to less power. Since I’m already getting better power transfer through that line. Those things fixed my earlier years ago problem with flourocarbon lines. I do sometimes forget which rod combo has flourocarbon line on and which one doesn’t.
