It’s a W and they got out if the game without major injury. Good day for any team. Now bring in the kitties. I think they were looking past Tampa a bit.

Just back from the game. Here is my assessment.

Rodgers seemed off on a number of passes today and had a terrible turnover late.

We should have gotten a punt blocked

We almost had an onside kick against us

We missed a short field goal.

The defense struggled at times, but spent alot of time on the field. They only got pressure on the blitz.

All together a win is a win. Thursday will be tough especially without Starks.

Rodgers definitely had a bit of an off day. (for him anyway)
Plain and simple though, we’ve got to be able to play better defense than that and we need to do it more consistently.
Otherwise…..we’re going to lose to a hot team one of these days.

On another note, I think we caught a huge break the other day when Cutler broke his thumb. The Bears were scarier than anyone else on whats left of our schedule right now until that happened.

    Joel:

Well spoken on both counts!!! It is tough to think that we could get through without a loss the way the defense is allowing yardage!!!

And Bear fans who were drooling over the prospects of our next game… we’ll I haven’t heard from any of them just yet.

I think Hanie will do fine, he has enough time left to get his feet wet before the play-offs and if they can go 500 from here out they should make it in.

To be honest Hanie scares me more than Cutler, with Cutler you know you will get at least 2 turnovers a game.

I agree, he seemed more than adequate last year in the second half of the championship game!!! I think people will be surprised, though once defenses get a chance to study and plan for him that may be negated…
