This will be my first bow purchase ever. I am looking for deals, when is the best time to buy, in store, online, products etc.? Have an outfit who will help me along with range and set-up. Any advice would help or lead me to a used bow arena too. All options and opinions are welcomed! I will be using it for 3D and hunting. Thanks in advance.

Shaefer Performance Archery in Burnsville. (Any archery shop should take care of you) just dont go to Gander Mtn. or cabelas. Shaefers is the place to go! People drive from all over to go see John! He is known through out the state as the guy with all the answers and the best service!

Where are you located at? Schaefers is good, and I really like A1 Archery in Hudson too!

as far as online sites, http://www.bowhunterssuperstore.com typically has the best deals, outside of maybe ebay.

are there any specific brands you’re looking at? This can be important, seeing not every shop carries all of the big name brands.

Just make sure that before you buy anything, shoot as many bows as you can. you will find the one that fits you best that way.

Schaffers is hands down my favorite bow shop! If there is ever a time to get a deal it might be now but I think prices stay level on bows throughout the year. My main advice is to not get hung up on a certain brand/ bow, worrying about fps or an ounce of weight. Just shoot as many bows as possible and pick the one that feels best for you, not what your buddy promises to be the best and only bow!

I would follow BK’s link, then seek out a guy named Dennis Dalan… he is a archery rep, he will steer you right. He can tell you the best shop in your area
