Found this guy in the yard this morning when I let the dog out. I never imagined that we even had these here.

Thanks. I just wish I had a DSLR camera so I could have gotten a better photo.

Yep. He has a taste for bullheads. Better keep a close eye on your children BK!

He ha a close eye on my lab too. Wasn’t afraid of her, but took off when I tried to get a closer pic. That wingspan was easily as wide as the jeep!

I thought they only came down here in the dead of winter when there was a lot of snow in Canada?

We’ve had a owl hanging around here in Richfield. I have to be careful with the ankle biters when I let them out.

The owl is fun to “talk” to. He does more of the growling (no pun intended) than the hooting.

I believe Owen Gromme painted a snow owl which became very collectable before the print was released.

I had a big owl perched on my kids play set one day and found a hot dog shaped “owl pellet” (nothing more than bone, teeth and undigested fur) on my deck.

I then looked down at my loveable 10lb dog and got a little nervous!
