Welcome aboard. I expect to hear some Prior Lake reports from you.
Tell Jeff P hi from Mark at RCT.
Will do! I’ll have plenty of reports for Prior! It’s actually heating up pretty good out there, and I’m usually the only boat left on the lake after 7! I’ve been trying to get used to having real sonar on my rig, so I’ve been puttering around my panny spots out there, trying to get the feel for it. A limit of decent crappies or sunnies is a breeze to get out of there right now, even after dark. I haven’t pulled a crappie over 11″, nor a gill over 8″ these past couple weeks out of there-but I know they’re down there! Come first ice, it shouldn’t be a problem finding the bigger fish. The walleye bite is hot right now i’ve been hearing. The cultural groups are hitting them pretty hard from shore, and have been having a LOT of success in the channel! Otherwise jigging fatties off the bottom in 10-14fow on the top of the steep breaks is where most of them have been coming from. Very low fishing pressure out there lately….
