A hunter just did this up in Grand Rapids area last weekend. Saw it in the startribune. He actually didnt know he got 2 until after getting down

Unless he was trying to get 2 and had the guns/ammo to do it. We have had guys in our party hit a second deer with one shot. It just turns out to be a mess with chasing wounded deer all over the place.

Fundamental rule. Knowing what is beyond your target. Pure luck that both went down and one wasn’t left injured. If he didn’t have 2 tags he deserves to be fined for this.

I agree. Playing games with wildlife like this and 600 yard shots is vain BS. Especially when doing it just to film.

Bad form when done on purpose.

    i agree also!

i do love to see deer pile up though and two at the same time was kinda cool to see but not worth the chance of wounding one!

I agree trying to do it is irresponsible.

I’ll also say that lots of hunters don’t understand that you have to watch what’s behind the deer because the slug often passes through.

I’ve heard a couple of antelope guides say the two with one can be an especially big problem for them. Even if the shot is clear, in the second and a half after the trigger is pulled on a longer shot, another animal can easily step into the background or foreground if you’re not very careful.

One less on the road , the other could and should be donated to a food pantry !
