Or at least thats the old saying. Wouldn’t want to be Herman Cane today.
Dutchboy:
I saw Cain as a lead speaker at a national convention I attended many years ago so I was kind of excited to see him get in the race, not so much any more…
Mark
i just saw the blonde with that awful allred woman give a statement. she said, he said type deal in my opinion.
Listening to the radio yesterday and a question was asked,”How many more are going to come forward?” The response was, “As many as it takes”
Quote:
So, what is the latest? Proof about the allegations?
Proof? I don’t know if there is indisputable proof or not. You now have a women coming forward stating what happened to her. She said, he said? Who knows. But this makes the 4th person to say there was sexual harassment.
Personally, I won’t vote for him anyway, guilty or not. But, it doesn’t look good with all these people coming out against him.
Somewhere Bill Clinton is giving his buds a fist pounding and a couple high fives
Finally a candidate who sounds like he can fix the economy and has the resume to back it up.
I hope you people enjoy what we get stuck with if it isn’t Herman Cain.

yea when ya gotta read it from a written statement?
ones gotta wonder!
She sounds like a classy lady. She was convinced by her 13 year old son to go out and talk about it. I think he also had Gloria Allred’s business card handy.
This lady also has a bit of a credibility problem with her history of financial troubles and being sued.
The Hermanator has two problems with these allegations.
First, the women went on the record at the time these incidents allegedly occured. It’s easy to dismiss a woman who comes forward and says, “He harassed me but I didn’t bring it up back then. . . ”
The problem is that these incidents (and maybe more) were on the record long before Herman was running for president.
Secondly, he’s handling the situation very, very badly. He can not want to talk about it all he wants, what he doesn’t understand is every time he shouts at a reporter and says he’s not going to talk about it, well, he’s talking about it. And every time he makes himself look bad.
If he were getting good PR advice, he would be repeating some canned series of staments denying it, blah, blah. Keep repeating it and you’re addressing the problem without saying anything new and therefore it becomes less newsworthy instead of more.
BTW, the total disarray on the Republican side and the inability to come up with a viable centrist candidate is killing the Republican chances. They have repeated the mistake the Democrats made in 2004 when they assumed that with Bush’s low approavl ratings, ANY candidate could beat him. Turns out they picked John Kerry, one of the candidates who couldn’t.
The Republicans have fallen into the same trap of letting the candidates run away with the circus. They’re so busy beating each other up that they’ve all forgotten completely about Obama.
Grouse
The last thing we need is another centrist candidate.
Centrist: The worst of both parties in one.
Cain harassed me but I didn’t bring it up back then.
How much do I get?
I wished people had paid more attention to all the smoke around Obama. I guess it was hard to see with all that hope and change hot air always blowing around him.

He has said zero about fixing anything except to float his 999 TAX.
Short of handing out $1,000 bills at the polling booths he had no chance of getting elected anyway.

Actually, seeing as he is still leading all the polls…Id say this hasnt affected him, and he has a pretty darn good chance!!!
A few observations on smoke …
Often where there’s smoke, there’s fire; although there’s also occasions that it’s just somebody blowing smoke
Usually when there’s smoke in the political arena, it’s accompanied by mirrors

Really? I guess since I get my info outside the mainstream, I know a lot more about him than the 9-9-9 plan.
And really, what is more important than fixing the economy right now? I couldn’t tell you were the other candidates, including candidate Obama, stand on other issues either and I could care less. Without turning the economy around, nothing else will matter.
I do know with Obama, Perry and Romney you basically will just see more slick politicking. You are just choosing whose cronies pockets get lined.

I’m not endorsing any of them. But I would say Cain isn’t any better then any of the others and pockets will get lined with him also.
You are right the economy is the number one issue and to date I haven’t heard a plan that addresses that.
But, this thread has drifted far from Cains sexual harassment allegations.
But I wanted to get my 2 cents in before it got zapped. Normally they get closed before I can get the last word in
Go Wild!
