Thanks SteveW. Lots of info to think about.Well I love westerns, and I dont hold the gun sideways like on TV. So I feel a revolver is my choice. Recreation but possible home protection if issue arises. So I would like lessons and a course, right.

The time we had the “Auto fire” night BK and I stopped at the Machine Shed in Woodbury dressed casually and I remember making the comment that we had enough guns and ammo on us to start WWIII!

Eastwood = S&W 44 Mag! A 357 or even 38 Special are all great revolvers. Super first handgun. Fun to shoot, easy to clean. I have one of each. I’m a lefty, so I like revolvers.

    $2.50 a pop in 2006! LOL!

Don’t know Jon, Suzuki looked pretty good with the S&W 500 starter gun.

Yup Wil, I’m sure the 500 is the way to go for your first gun.

If I remember correctly, standing beside the shooter I could feel the heat on my face.

My FW’s favorite FullAuto was the AR-15. Lot’s of smoke and noise…no recoil…and it just kept on spitting out the lead!

Below is my favorite wife is just finishing a 30 round mag on a AK47.

I picked this up last spring and LOVE it (Ruger GP100 .357 Mag). And everyone that I let shoot it loves it, too.

Of course, .22s are so fun and cheap to shoot, so you definitely need one, too

But try out guns that interest you and see what you like. I think an IDO shoot would be a fun way to meet some guys and try out different guns
