    Try out = rent.

But it’s a good idea to find a gun you like. I live near Bill’s and shoot there when I get the itch.

If BrianK would sponsor a shooting night like he used to all the time we could all shoot…..

    Winter activity.

Last time I was there, it was $15. per handgun. You buy the ammo.

If you bought a gun from them, the $15. went towards the gun.

It’s a great deal if you don’t have a bunch of friends that will let you try their’s out.

Mike, you (or anyone else) can set up an Ido shoot.

My time is limited to IDO sponsors.

The auto fire shoots and the computer controlled courses were pretty fun that’s for sure.

Maybe decide what you want to do with this gun, plink? then buy a .22, cheap and easy to shoot.

Personal defense, something as large a caliber as you can shoot accurately.

Carry, something light enough that you will carry and still have as much stopping power as you can.

Then you can decide on revolver or semi auto..:)

That Full Auto Glock 18 with the 30 round mag is still my all time FAV even over the Thompson 45, Uzi, 50 cal and the S&W 50 cal handgun.

The original owner of the Circle Pines range used to rent out fully auto weapons, never tried it, but he had a pretty large selection of weapons to chose from.

Had pictures on the wall of when Aerosmith came in and shot a bunch of them.

Maybe you and I can put something together this winter Chris. We’ll declare it a BK free zone. Would like to see Jordan make it with his “suitcase” full of guns.

I didn’t say I wouldn’t go Mike, just no time to put it together.

In fact, I’ll bring along the Strikelite. You’re getting up there and a light 4 stroke could be just what the doctor ordered.

Bill’s is great. Good prices – compared to Cabelas and especially Gander. Plus you get a range pass and free rental with every gun you purchase. That’s as good as cash. Most of their staff is really good, knowledgeable and they will help you land on the right gun. As others have said, what will you use it for? Defense? Hunting? Just shooting fun? I like revolvers as they are trouble free and you always predict what will happen when you pull the trigger. You burn less ammo too. My three most recent purchases (all at Bill’s): Ruger Single Six .22/.22mag convertible. Love this because with the .22 cylinder you can shoot .22 Super Colibri ammo which is light bullet fired by the primer only. No propellant so it makes about as much noise as a pellet gun. Shoot it in your garage. I also just bought the new Springfield XDM 5.25 competition in 9mm. This is a magnificent pistol. 19 shot capacity, wonderful trigger and barrel. Fiber optic sight. 9mm is nice because ammo is cheap and it still makes a nice BANG. I also recently bought Springfield 1911-A1 in .45acp. Another beautiful pistol! Try as many as you can. Think about what you will use it for and how much it costs to operate. Buy quality too….
