St Louis Fishing?

    I have to be in St Louis for 10 days and was wondering if anyone has done any fishing around the area? I will have some down time and would like to hook up with a good guide or bait shop who knows where to go. Would like to fish Walleyes but will be happy catching anything. Thanks for any feedback!

    Having lived in Muscatine, IA (SE Ia) for a short period of time, it was known that that was the last of the better ‘eye fishing and as the river flowed south, it wasn’t as good. But that doesn’t mean that it can’t be done. I would think looking for a catfish/bass guide might be more productive, but that is the best info I can give ya…

    It seems if I recall right the illinoise river houses some monster sized sauger on a regular basis I’ve done some lake fishing for crappies a hour south of St louis look on map .
