I’d like to study my lakemaster P4 chip on my PC terminal. I’ve got the reader. Is there software to do this??

Contour Elite is very cool, 3d bottom, waypoint creating and transferring to your GPS unit, search function to find similar places on the lake to your current waypoints. I have had this software for a year and still I find new structure on lakes and rivers that I fish often

Just got this. Free 14 day trial !

Love this software. Saves lots of Fuel and gets me to places I probably would not venture to since we have soooooo much water over here on Lk. Michigan.

btw – The contour elite does not read your chip, it has the lakes on a CD. What I have been finding with the latest version of the MN chip is that the Chip has more detail than the contour elite CD for certain lakes (this includes P4).

Contour elite is great for waypont management and keeping logs however.

I’d love to have that to play around with, however, I don’t fish enough different lakes to justify the price. That and most the lakes I fish are not listed.

Try going to the Lowrances site and then go to the downloads section go to product emulators and download the LCX-26C HD Emulator. After installing the emulator, put your chip in the reader and startup the emulator. It will now read the chip and show contours.

This is what I’m hearing works though some say you may need a LEI reader for this but with the newer readers maybe not. After that its over my head I run Garmin when I purchased the CD version of Lakemaster for garmin all that stuff is included I just had to download the info onto a blank chip for my GPS/chart plotter sonar and a separate one for my Garmin handheld.

    As for Hummingbird; no idea

    Hope this helps.

If it don’t work hit it with a hammer then use duct tape to mend it. Some say use super glue to mend but I beg to differ as super glue is vertically strong horizontal twisting I find is not, Duct tape flexes. Dont worry of the bulk a bit of persuasion will get in the slot
