Ariens Snow Blower question

So when I posted about snow blowers many people said Ariens over Simplicity. However, I don’t have an Ariens dealer close by besides Home Depot. Do you think the machines they sell at Home Depot are the exact same machines from an Ariens dealer?

Yes, but the kicker is Ariens makes some models with cheap motors and some with Briggs & Stratton. Check what engine it has

If prices are comparable, I definitely would not shy away from a Simplicity, though, especially if the Simp would be from a dealer and the Ariens from HD!

I am not shying away….I just want to compare prices and features. I am still leaning towards the Simplicity but thought I would check out the prices at Home Depot….even though I don’t want to buy from a big box store!

When I bought last year, I paid the same at Scharber & Sons that I would have paid at HD.

That is called MAP pricing. The Oem sets the price that they have to sell it at to keep discounters from out selling every one else. John Deere does the same thing.

i bought mine from HD 3 years ago and it performs beautifully. not sure what motor is on it. get a good snowblower regardless of brand. I think this is going to be one snowy, cold winter.

Just pulled the 36 inch Airens out of storage and got the oil changed and some fresh premium in her. She is hungry for some snow! Last year, I measured 50 feet of thrown snow and had 1 broken window thanks to it, this year should be no different! Can simplicity do that for you?

We just bought the Ariens 208cc from Home Depot. My brother has had this one for a few years and says it works great.
Heard we were in for more snow this season, so want to ready for it (and just tired of shoveling )

Not to worry you, but that is one of those “Chinese motors”. I honestly don’t know anything about them, so it could be fine.

Well, not sure if Simplicity can do that for me? I don’t need to throw the snow 50 feet or break a window. Plus I am not looking at a 36 inch snowblower. If it starts, runs good, and blows snow at least 30 feet I will be just happy.
