    ok what do you use to carve yours? I have used a dremel, and a few choice knives (but tough for small spots as the ones that come with the kit stink obviously. lets here what others use.

    also after you carve your pumpkin, what do you do with it to keep it from rotting before the big day? as I usually have to carve mine the week before halloween when I have my kids. and the pumpkins are always real close to turning nasty. i usually do the water trick. but then they get goopy.

    Dremel, huh? I like that.

    I just used the accumulation of little saws that I have collected over the years. I have not found a good way to preserve them–I just normally carve the day before Halloween.
