I fished a lake in northern MN a couple of weeks ago. We caught a few walleye and a couple of nice perch for the table. When I cleaned them I noticed eggs in at least one of each. My buddy fishes a river here in north IA and said he noticed the same thing. I have never seen this before in the fall. What’s the deal? Are these eggs they never dropped this spring?

I was wondering how long that would take! I am leaving it that way.

I fished all weekend on 2 lakes and one river.

The crappie, sunfish, and pike all had eggs or sperm in them. The eyes I cleaned had nothing that I noticed except for the males. The males for the crappie and eyes were full.
