24 VOLT HOOKUP QUESTION

I have a 24v trolling motor up front and want to add a 24v vantage on the back.Is it okay to run it off the 2 batteries the front one runs off of and will anything happen if the 2 trolling motors were used at the same time.Thanks for any info.Bill

Yes, you can do that, no problems.

Size the cables correctly because you will have a small voltage drop at that distance

You should be good to go!!! I would use at least 6ga wire from the rear to the front though. Only downfall is if using both through out the day or at the same time your battery life will of course be shorter.

It will work fine, I have a 80 lb.Terrova on the front and
a 80 lb. Vantage.My batteries are in the rear.I ran 6 ga. wire to the front and ran the factory wire from the Vantage right to the batteries. The 12 volt (+ orange) from the vantage goes to the (+ pos.)on the #2 batt. in your 24 volt hook up.The 24 volt (+ red)from the vantage goes to(+ pos.) on the # 1 batt.in your 24 volt hook up. The #1 batt. is the one you have the (+ red) from your front trolling motor hooked to.I hooked both 24 volt (+ red)right to a 60 amp breaker.I have a 30 amp breaker on the 12 volt (+ red)
