There is backwoods bait in newport just on the other side of the river. There used to be a little hole in the wall bait shop on concord right near the landing. Not sure if he is still there or not.

The Shell station has all of Gander’s old bait tanks. It’s just a one man shop trying to make ends meet and he’s treated me well the few time’s I’ve been in there.

He’s about 5 minutes north of Gander on Co Rd 5. Instead of turning by Hom Furnature, just keep going north for a few minutes.

He also has a bait punch card. Buy 10 scoops of minners and get your 11th scoop free.

There is a pretty good shop in Prior Lake on the west side of 13 south of 42.

Backwoods is going out of business. I was there on Saturday and everything that’s left is dirt cheap. They said their last day will be 10/23.

The shop in Hastings sucks, and I consider it a last resort.

Prescott BP station is fantastic!! You always get your money’s worth there. A little out of the way maybe, but worth it for us South-Enders.

Isn’t there a gas station just west about 2-3 blocks of Cedar and 98th that sells bait??

Yep – 1 block west of Cedar on 98th. Right on the corner.

    Chris,
I went to the shop in Hastings Sunday morning at 7:30 and it wasn’t even open. I thought what a dumb way to run a business. Can’t believe they will be around long. Thanks, I will go to Prescott from now on.

It’s a skateboard/snowboard shop that happens to have a little bait. I would venture to guess that the extra curricular activities that go along with the skate/snowboarding lifestyle make the participants less than ambitious to do anything before noon.
