I can’t put it off another year. The floor in my 18 ft. Crestliner is horribly rotten in places and needs to be replaced. Can anybody recommend someone near St. Cloud or the west metro? What should I expect to pay? I would like to try to pull this off myself, but have finally come to the realization that I don’t have the equipment or the time to do it properly.

Dustin Stewart had this done on his 182 TS. Shoot him a PM with specifics on cost, etc., if he doesn’t spot this thread.

    What year/model is your Crestliner?

Maybe it’s a part of the floatation recall and you could talk to a dealer about replacement in conjunction with the recall fix if it’s one that is in that recall. I believe they have to pull up the floor or part of the main floor to do the work.

Thanks for the info. everyone. It is a 2000 Rampage. I don’t think there are too many of these around, but it is Crestliner’s V-hull deck boat. I believe it is the same hull as the Fish Hawk???

I did a little research on the floatation recall and I think it sounds like there’s a chance it’s a part of the recall. I will contact a dealer to verify.

Thanks for the info and link regarding Dustin’s repair guy !

    Much appreciated!

On a side note, I just want to tell somebody that I just unsheathed my brand new St. Croix LegendXtreme late this afternoon . Can’t wait to give her a workout on the pond next week!!!

I’d interested in hearing more about that recall. I have a 2000 Fishhawk with a spongy floor.

I have a 2005 Crestliner, and had the “floatation fix” done a couple of months ago. IMHO, the cure can be worse than the cause… and it did nothing to fix a couple of weak spots in the flooring, as most of the new floatation is done in the open spaces which offer no support of the flooring.
Even tho the “fix” should be no-cost, put the time involved into being out on the water.

I don’t know what is involved with the fix, but I thought they had to take the floor up. If so, the thought was that maybe for a little additional cash (parts and maybe some additional labor) they would be willing to put a new floor down vs the old floor boards….assuming that is what is rotting.

O1′ Fishhawk. Floation recall was done last yr. Nothing under the floor was touched. Foam added to open spaces in rear. I think the reason behind the recall was the added weight of 4 stroke motors.

The floor issues described in these posts makes one wonder about the “Quality” of Crestliner boats????

Stopped at a local Crestliner dealer yesterday and was told my boat is not a part of the recall. They suggested that I contact Crestliner directly about the problem. Went on the Crestliner site and filled out a form describing the situation. I received an email back in a couple of hours, which I thought was good as I didn’t expect to hear from them until Monday. The Crestliner rep asked me to send photo’s of the floor so they can determine if it is a warranty issue or not. Will be taking photo’s today. I’ll keep you posted.

I believe the dealer said that the ’00 Fishhawk was not a part of the recall either, but who knows. I guess I would contact Crestliner directly.

    Inside (or outside?) winter storage?

Some inside and some outside. I have a custom cover for the boat, but maybe that doesn’t matter much when it’s outside???

Received good news from Crestliner this evening. They reviewed my photo’s and have determined that it will be covered under warranty .

I am trying to remove the floor over the gas tank of a Crestliner Fishhawk 2003. After removing the screws does the middle piece pull up?

Geez! How long are their warranties? It’s a 2000 right? If so that’s pretty cool that they covered a 18yr old floor.
