What do the IDO web lords think about adding a facebook page and having a like button on the IDO site? It would help build your membership base I would think.

Ya, many of us get a little tired in the middle of the afternoon
October 5, 2011 at 12:16 pm #999173Im all for it but have heard when something like this had came up in the past that it may be difficult or expensive to add. Might possibly have to come up with a different name to it so not to infringe on facebook either.
bigpikePosts: 6259October 5, 2011 at 1:49 pm #999202I thought IDO already had a facebook page? Maybe I’m just confused.
October 5, 2011 at 2:06 pm #999206No thanks, I don’t need a web site to have people I don’t know tell me they like me or not, I’m not that insecure.

Oh, I get it. It took me a while though, I was going in circles. There is nothing wrong with Facebook once you figure out how to filter people who like to update you on how cute their baby is or what color their last poop was (the parent, not the kid). There are a lot of fishing resources, especially guides and pros that throw out interesting stuff. Not only that, but tackle manufacturers and sporting good stores normally go public with stuff first on FB.

hope my lord will not allow it
U want 2 meet somebody
Get off the cell phone
Shut off the PC
And get out of the houseOctober 6, 2011 at 12:41 am #999404Its not about “meeting” people, its about growing a site base…. sites make money and pay for themselves, by selling adveritisng. The more people that “hit” the site… IE “LIKE” the more favorable for all of us, as advertisers like to advertise on well traveled sites. Clearly some do not know what FACEBOOK is… you don’t have to be “friends” with complete strangers. I only see it making IDO better to link to social media
October 6, 2011 at 5:21 am #999468I agree Big G, I was a skeptic of facebook but my neices finally talked me into joining and now I am glad I did. I have a huge family, aroung maybe 300 of us and since joining I have gotten back in contact with quite a few of them. So for me it was one of the best things I’ve joined in a long time. Plus classmates that I have not seen in years.
deertrackerPosts: 9253October 6, 2011 at 6:36 am #999471I’m still holding out for facebook to really catch on. Then I will join.
