I just ordered the 1850 Fish Hawk DC!! look’s like a saweet ride! Paired it up with a 140 4 stroke Johnson. Should go around 50?? Should have her on her maiden voyage in a couple weeks. Meanwhile I bid a fond ‘adeu to the 1750 . Great boat at a good price.

Willard Andrist has that boat with a Suzuki 140 4-stroke and I think he said it runs 43mph if I remember right. He loves the gas milage with it.
    Thanks, Bill

    Congrats Chappy,

I run a 2003 1850 FH DC with a Suzuki 140. With a normal load, I run between 43-44 mph gps. If you need more speed, adjusting motor height and prop pitch may help. Have a great year with your new boat, you have a very nice rig!

If you need additional info, send me a pm.

    Whew…nice boat! I wish I had my 2001 1850 back sometimes.
Don’t get your hopes up too high for 50mph. Thats a BIG boat! My dealer has rigged a few with 150 Yammys and they top out at about 45-46. A 175 HDPI will get ya over the 50 mph mark but a few more $$$.

Chappy, I set up a client with the Johnson 140 last year. Great motor, you will love it!

You also will catch more fish in a new boat too. [cause you will go fishing more often in a new boat]. Have fun!!!
    Thanks, Bill

just bought a 1700 super hawk with a 90 horse 4 stroke. Had 4 of us in it, 2 of us 250 plus, and we were able to get just over 40. Thats just after the first 2 hours of break in. Should get faster.
