How can you have a problem with it? He said he’ll pay the fine, so what’s the big deal? I seem to remember games last year or the year before where it was OK to wear pink.

The problem would be eventually there would be 11 guys on each side of the ball, with their “cause” or “belief” or “sponsor” on their uniform, hence not making them “uniform” anymore. I am betting the NFL will have a way to show their recognition of 9/11…. if each player wants to do it their own way, hey they can afford the fines

Last years “pink” shoes and gloves, was approved by the NFL… the stars and stripes have not been….yet

That’s just it. It is a bad PR move. Although what’s his name should have contacted the league first.

I agree. But I think the NFL commissioner should have made a move to do what Briggs is going to do league wide..

This should be a non-issue. This was the largest tragedy on US soil ever. The league missed the boat to make this league wide like the breast cancer. He should not be fined for this. Too many players are jerks and make bad choices, this guy should have a giant pat on the back.

It’s the tenth year anniversary of it. I think it would be a huge disservice to those who perished as well as those who lost someone to not make it special. I’m fine with them doing something every year. This is something that should never be forgotten. Many innocent lives were lost.

Personally, I never tire of hearing stories from that day. Especially the stories of strangers helping each other. Also the way the country pulled together for a change.

I never said anything about a diservice, and don’t think your ever going to put words in my mouth.

It was tough watching some shows last night on it. It has been tough seeing some of the coverage this morning. I can’t even describe the feeling that came over me when they rang the bell the first time.

Seeing how you invented the words nausess and tradgedy, I agree, nobody else put them there…

Do you tire and get sick of hearing about how Pearl Harbor got attacked when it’s anniversary rolls around ? What’s the difference ?

And I didn’t say you said it… I “asked” if you felt the same way about it…

No difference. I just pray it doesn’t happen again.

I think bickering about this is silly on 9/11.

Mike, did you mean nauseous because you are always reminded of the day or nauseous because you are reminded of the tragic events of that day?

I think on this day, more than any other we should be respectful of other people’s thoughts and opinions.

Trust me, I was not putting any words in your mouth. When you say something like “But am getting quite nausess of being reminded of the dam tradgedy. ” that diminishes the tragedy in my eyes. If that’s now how you meant it, then please clarify. It doesn’t appear I was the only one who took it that way. Thing about typing something is it can be interpreted 100’s of ways. Your original post looks to me like you are tired of hearing about it. If that’s the case, it sits wrong with me but you are entitled to your own opinion.

Clarification: My intent was not to diminish the event.I should have stated that everytime I’m reminded of all the death and destruction it makes me puke. Had I been younger 10 yrs. ago I would have been the first one to enlist, so I could put a bullet in bin head. In no way did I mean to offend anyone here. Hence my signage.

Now that makes way more sense. I do agree that it does cause my stomach to turn as well watching some of it just seeing people die and knowing how many will be without loved ones.

    Thanks for the clarification.
