September 9, 2011 at 12:46 pm #993817Rodgers was on,but what will he do against a team that has a defensive backfield?

HAHAHAHA yeah right
September 9, 2011 at 12:52 pm #993823I’ll tell you what Rodgers will do, he will pick them apart , his new nickname should be “THE SURGEON” ….GO PACK
sandmanndPosts: 928September 9, 2011 at 1:03 pm #993829I hate the pack but I’ll give them credit for a hell of a game. Both teams played really good offense and not so great defense. I wouldn’t expect them to put up those points every week. It was a great game to the effect that it came down to the final second.

Cover the middle and Grant, Starks and Kuhn will pound your arse at the line. Close up the holes and Rodgers will throw the short dumps. Did you not watch the game
September 9, 2011 at 1:27 pm #993836Rodgers great, defense and special teams looked miserable.
I didnt see anything out of the running game either.
Packers 10-6, 1st round exit.
September 9, 2011 at 1:45 pm #993841Pack got lucky last night!! Rodgers was completely outplayed by Brees, didn’t throw a TD in the last three quarters, and the Pack never made any adjustments. Had to have a rookie from Kentucky bail you guys out!
roadhunterPosts: 47September 9, 2011 at 1:50 pm #993842Give 477 yards at home???? The Pack is in trouble and the Purple is coming baby! BTW Charles Woodson is a cheater.
September 9, 2011 at 1:51 pm #993843That right there was a preview of the NFC championship. Only way Pack don’t make it back is if Rodgers gets hurt, but I wouldn’t wish that on a player….maybe.
September 9, 2011 at 1:56 pm #993847Yea you guys are probably right…….
Grant had 9 carries for 40yds. Avg of 4.4yds
Starks had 12 carries for 57yds. Avg of 4.7yds
Kuhn had only 2 carries for 5yrds. How pitiful, one to bust open for a first down and the other for 6 points. So I guess that means if they need to run it will really suck….huh?
It was a good game last night, I enjoyed the opener.
The Saints were just out played, period!September 9, 2011 at 2:08 pm #993853Professional Football..
Really ?Whining panzys…
They needed more money ?
You should all step up and boycot them SOB’s
I don’t have time for that crap..

YOU could run for those numbers against NO’s line. Any other team will be a different story. Keep pretending you have a running game…

Thank you for your insight.
September 9, 2011 at 2:14 pm #993856Note the deafening silence about the swiss cheese defense and special teams.
September 9, 2011 at 2:22 pm #993861Koonce is starting to sound like bitter old man… New Orleans is a pretty good team and the defense stopped them when they needed to. I’m worried about our run defense and our aging left tackle.
September 9, 2011 at 2:29 pm #993863Being neither a fan of the Pack or Saints that was a great game to watch.
I wasn’t suprising at all to see the lack of defense as it usually takes a few weeks for Defenses to gel and both the D and special teams looked to be affected by the lack of summer work than the O.
That said what really won the game for the Pack last night was the D-line stuffing the Saints twice.
What I don’t understand is why the h#ll did the Saints start out stacking the box and running man coverage outside?! That’s why Rodgers started out so hot.
September 9, 2011 at 2:43 pm #993868Don Capers made the necessary adjustments last year to get the the defensive job done, and I’m guessing after a couple weeks of film watching, he’ll do the same again this year.
It’s a long season and bar no injuries, pack should only improve.
Go Packers!!!September 9, 2011 at 3:00 pm #993873Just like the purple people to jump all over the Packers. I’m not saying they have a kick arse running game. The questions was……

I Believe the Packers have a good enough arsenal with the run game making it impossible for the defense to just defend against a passing game.
The Pack has a lot of tools in the shed this year, just hope they all stay healthy!!
It was the first game of the season, I believe they will work out there weak points. Is that really to hard for purple to swallow?
And that’s all Ive got to say about that
September 9, 2011 at 3:15 pm #993874FINE, I HATE THE PACK!!! But, truth be told, Ive picked them to repeat this year…
September 9, 2011 at 3:43 pm #993881Did that during the Game last night and I’m doing it after work today….Spotted Cow, 12oz at a time

Sounds very similar to what we heard from purple people last year too.
Guess I’ll just sit back and watch what happens. All in all, being it was the first game of the year, I’m pretty happy with what I saw from the Packers last night.
And we’ll see what the Purple People do later this weekend when their favorite team puts on a show.
