Yes it is Drew. What pisses me off the most is all the 18-20 yr. olds going like a bat out of hell with no respect to fisherman, property owners,or anyone’s safety. Most are in mommy and daddy’s 800000 dollar Baja, without a clue how to navigate that vessel safetly. It’s got to the point where I fish mainly on weekdays, to avoid the idiots.
September 4, 2011 at 12:31 am #992846Somebody was throwing M80’s or something out of their boat the last time I was on 5A bass fishing. The first time they did it, they were pretty close to me and it scared the s**t out of me.
I always hope people like that will hit a stump and take their lower unit off.September 4, 2011 at 12:33 am #992847I’ve often suggested that ALL operators of watercraft be required to be licensed…..the test is a general IQ test. Sucessful applicants would be allowed to operate a motorized watercraft with a horsepower no greater than their tested IQ…..bet there would be quite a few people with one oar in the water going around in circles, unless they took a friend or two.
September 4, 2011 at 12:44 am #992849You’d be suprised how many “Smart People” are idiots behind the steering wheel or in a boat. Remember, most serial killers also have high IQ’s. I’d rather see more people call violations in. Get those boat numbers and call them in.
September 4, 2011 at 12:40 pm #992876Do the courts accept testimony in a one on one situation? Best t o video tape the act, actors, and the boat numbers. $89,000. Boat Is there a depression on the horizon or not.
September 4, 2011 at 4:11 pm #992910Another thing that totally bums me a out about our younger generation is the lack of love they have for our natural resources and the amount of Litter that they leave on the islands, parks, roadways, etc, etc. are they just that lazy or is it they really don’t give a sh#t? My Dad & Grampa would roll over in their graves!
September 4, 2011 at 4:47 pm #992925This past Thursday night two other boats in my group and myself were drifting a running slough when a ski boat full of 20-somethings ran (wide open) within 3ft. of my buddy’s 14 ft. boat. He was so close the spray from the boat’s side got his back soaking wet! We got the registration numbers and called the county sheriff, and the next day they came and took our statements and contacted the other party. We are now waiting to hear from the DNR! Just hoping this teaches them a lesson of some sorts!
September 4, 2011 at 8:58 pm #992947I have wanted for a long time to just carry a paintball gun with me for when those people come by me when im fishing.. It might solve a few issues!

Careful there… with concealed carry now in the picture, someone may just see the paint gun and see that as a real threat and the only issue needing solving would be your funeral or medical expenses.September 5, 2011 at 5:46 pm #993013The ultimate answer to loosing the debate is gun fire carry. I will be adding that to my signatures.
September 5, 2011 at 10:08 pm #993034I know there would be a lot of issues with it. I have wanted to but never will actually follow through with it.

September 6, 2011 at 3:03 pm #993148As much as they upset me every time I attempt to fish. It’s mainly the fact that they could care less about anyone else on the lake, I’m pretty sure my trolling and moving from one spot to the next ticks them off too. What do you do? IT’s no different than hunting public land. as long as everyone follows the rules, and respect they would want everyone else to give them we could all get along, But of course that will never happen, it’s a price you pay for having a spot to fish or hunt.
September 6, 2011 at 5:04 pm #993200Don’t you guys watch Whale Wards? Prop fouling it the way to go.
And when I used to watch WW, I rooted for the Japanese, FYI. I had to clarify, I could feel the tree-hugger remark arrows being drawn back.
September 6, 2011 at 5:12 pm #993204I cheer for the Whales 1st Japanese second, and say hose the tree huggers down with water cannons. My wife and I were just discussing this the other day. Do you have my house bugged?

Not so much for people/boats that just aggravate, but for those who include you in their death defying endeavors.
Once had a water skier try to go on one side of my boat and the boat on the other…that’s when a wrist rocket comes in handy….so I hear.

September 6, 2011 at 5:56 pm #993212Why make things complicated when a simple softball will take care of business quite well. A well aimed shot bounced off the side of a boat makes your point.

I’d root for the whales, but they always seem to lose. And no, I haven’t bugged your house, but I like what you have done with the living room furniture.
$5 says you peak out your window more after that comment.
desperadoPosts: 3010September 6, 2011 at 6:47 pm #993228Clueless boaters and just plain rude don’t-give-a-$4!t boaters … what’s a fisherman to do?
