Boat Insurance

My insurance policy term is about up and with my son about ready to start driving I am thinking about how big the insurance bill is going to get. I am curious about what folks are doing for boat insurance. I am looking for a solid company that will cover my boat and the gear in it and one that will support you if/when it comes time for a claim and of course I am looking to save money which is probably at odds with my stated desires but a guy can ask right?

I personally have not had to file a claim (knock on wood) but my previous boat was totaled and the ensuing battle with the company of the person who hit my rig was less than enjoyable not to mention costing me half of August, all of September and part of October before we got it all settled. My agent, actually her staff, where instrumental in helping the other company begin to feel a sense of urgency and getting things resolved by telling me what to do and say in dealing with the adjuster, so I am not trying to knock my agent or the company she represents just trying to make sure I am an informed consumer.

    Thanks

Feel free to give me a call cspierings I would be happy to assist. I handle boat insurance for many IDOers and I’m sure most can attest to the level of service and the quality of products I provide. I am also a multi lines producer and handle other lines of insurance such as auto, home, life and business insurance as well.

Justin handles my insurance for my guide boat and I’m happy to say that I can’t attest to his level of service…knock on wood.

But I know others that do. Shoot a PM to Mary Hahn sometime.

Justin shot me a quote last week that is much better than my “regular” car/home insurance agent…. I’ve heard nothing but praise about Justin on this forum.

I have found working with Justin to be as enjoyable as insurance can be. Fair prices and a fellow fisherman as an agent. I haven’t had to make a claim ever, but I feel pretty confident that Justin will be helpful if the need ever arises.

Thanks for the heads up. I will give Justin a call and see what he has to say.
