Just curious as to how many hours guys are putting on their big motors this year or on average? I know if one fishes smaller lakes they wont run as much but I am usually on big bodies of water.

This year I think I am around 73hrs last time I checked. Guessing I will be close to 100 by my seasons end.

Last year I put about 100 hours on the big motor but I trolled with it as well.

This year so far I’ve got about 40 hours on the big motor but I’ve got a kicker now.

I put an hour meter on this year. I fish mainly small lakes and don’t troll. Most of my time is spent on the bowmount casting for bass. I think I’m up to about 11 hours on the gas motor

I’ve put about 40 hours on the big motor. The nice thing is that I still haven’t finished a tank of gas in my truck this summer and thats pulling the boat at least 2 days a week.

When I first started running a jon boat, I put 132 hours on in the first year. That included a lot of trolling though. Unfortunately, I probably haven’t hit anywhere near 60 any of the last few years.

When I worked on Crane Lake a couple summers ago we figured out I put somewhere between 400-500 hours on my 1984 35hp Evinrude. That motor is a champ! I outfitted it w/ 3 6gal tanks and would routinely run 30-50 miles 3-4 times a week.

    Man I miss that…

I wish i had a hour meter in my boat to know how many hours I put on this year. The last few summers I went through 3 or 4 gallons of oil and I just opened my 7th on Monday. That’s in my 40hp Yamaha. I’ve done quite a few 40+ mile runs on a few rivers this year.

I average about 70 hours per year on my big motor, but probably 200+ on my kicker.

Had the boat in the shop about 6 weeks ago and had 175 hours on it for this season.

Depending on my fall fishing, I would guess maybe 250 plus hours.
