Nissan truck

Anyone have any experience or owned a Nissan Titan truck? I would like to know what your thoughts are.

Out of curiosity, why Nissan?

I inherited my brother’s 2004 Titan around a year or more ago, he moved out of the country and said come get it. Not a bad deal at all. I would probably not have looked at Nissan had I been shopping, been a GM guy (heck even a Ford here at there) my whole life. That said, the Titan is a solid well built truck with lots of balls, no complaints at all other than it is a bit thirsty (12-14 MPG) which may be partly my foot problem. Drags the 17 foot Alum around like it isn’t back there, had it loaded with over 3500 lbs of wood pellets and it still had some spunk. Like I said, solid is the best word I can come up with, nice rig. Not sure what year you’re considering or if new, check the recalls and service bulletins before you buy.

I have an 04′ Titan as well. Thing has monster power, for a half ton. Tows the 619 without an issue, as well as a skid loader. I had a Chevy 6.0 liter previously, and that thing couldn’t even compare.

There are fancier trucks out there, but I will say that the Titan is a well built truck.

Only thing I wish was it got a bit better mileage ~15 and the bed was 6’6″ long, which you can get on newer models.

Solid option if you are in the market, in my opinion. Good luck with your purchase

I’ve got an ’05 Titan with 65K on it that I bought a couple years ago and I absolutely love the truck. Plenty of power and because of that, its not very good on gas. Had it in the shop 1 time for a bad relay panel and 6 months later the vehicle was recalled for that very issue. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one.

Good solid truck and will pass anything except a gas station!
