I am now a gold patch wearing Nationally Registered Paramedic!!!!!!!

The last stage of the process came today after a day long grueling practical exam. We were put through 12 different stations of different paramedic skills. We were tested on assessments of medical and trauma cases, IV administration and medications, endotracheal tubes for adult and pediatric, cardiac rhthyms and a megacode, as well as oral (verbal) cases.
It was a long and exhausting day filled with anxiety and stress , but it is all complete now. I received notification at the end of the day that I had passed everything on the first attempt.

Now I can get back to living a “normal” life

Congrats! Heck of a good job, watching you go through all the work you’ve done over the years, and the ups and downs, great to see you excel and enjoy what you do.

Once you get in the emergency medicine field, there is no “normal” life. Seriously though, great job!!! You are doing a service to the community and yourself.
