Point me in the right direction guys –

I have a 74lb thrust vantage trolling motor that does not work. I’m able to get the motor to go up and down but can not get the propeller to spin. I’ve double checked my connections and wires and to my best knowledge everything is correct. Is there an in-line fuse somewhere that may be blown for the 24v wire?

should be a breaker depending on how it was wired. up down motor should be on a sepret 12v so if you rin battires dead can still get it up. follow the big wires back to batt from motor and it will be there some where along the line good luck.

Tony is correct, the deploy motor is ran off 12volt power (single battery) and the prop motor is ran off 2 other batteries. Look for the fuse but these things are very fussy, boards get wet and fry….Expect to pay about 3 bills for materials/labor for a new board.

Roger, Before you panic there should be “little grey rectangular boxes” on your battery terminals.Make sure the black buttons did not pop out on the very ends. Those are circuit breakers, if your terminals have any corrosion on them they need to be cleaned & greased, that will “trip” your breakers..

The boards that can fry…are they behind the black plastic cover on the motor?

Thanks for the input from all, I’ll check it over tonight and let you know what I’ve found out.
