    as does hitting, defense and good old basic fundamentals……..they will still sell hope for next year, good old Joe and his huge contract and don’t’ forget, ONE home run so far, Morneuo (sp???)may be done from injuries, best pitching prospect is having tommy john

    HOPE is all any team can sell year after year.

    Mauer and Morneau are the big guys, no doubt about that. But, they are far from the reason for today’s pathetic record. You need to look no farther then left field, shortstop, #2 starter and the whole bullpen except Perkins to lay blame on. From there we can go to injuries.

    I look back to early in the year when they had so many runners thrown out at 3rd & home. Why was a change made at third base coach?

    But, the thread is about pitching. Agreed, it does suck.
