Macbook battery help

I need to get a new battery for my Macbook laptop and i was told that any Macbook battery would work, no matter what year the laptop is. I bought mine in 2006 before college. My model # is A1181 and the one that i found on Ebay is $30 but im nervous buying it since i don’t know much about computers
Does anyone know if this battery would work?

Yep, that’s the one your looking for. You can always double check by looking at the one you currently have in your macbook just to be sure. Good luck!
