Just curious…. Did any of you make it down to Chicago to help President Obama celebrate his 50th birthday last night? Cost for dinner with the President was only $35,800.00 per plate. I wonder what they served?

For the main entree it was generous helpings of ‘Hope’ and for dessert they offered ‘Change.’ Most everyone went home with an empty feeling in their stomach and a hole in their pocket.

I think the appetizer was a transparent administationni covered in cheese.

And the people that cleaned up after were tipped with stimulus money.

Guessing the same thing we’ve all been eating for sometime now. A sandwich filled with Hope & Change that really tastes like Crap!

Had to throw that in before this gets the Kabosh put to it.
    $38,000.00 per plate… WTF

If the people who have $ 38,000.00 extra for a meal would be paying their fair share, our country would not have the debt problems we do…..

It would have been a roast of Bush and more blaming everything on him.
I was going to go but my wife put my pocket change in our coin jar and she would have slapped me silly if I would have tried to take it back out.

A really depressing thought occurred to me. We are gonna have Obama around as an ex-president forever if he lives to be an old man (and he will). At least Bubba is fun!

Wouldn’t it be cool if the Pres would have said, Ya know, we have some issues going on in the country right now,, I’m having a BBQ for my bday. But I guess after you add in all the costs to protect the pres and the set up and other security, It would have still been $6200 per FunDog.

I hate basketball, so I know who I’d spend time with given a chance.

    Video

That being said, Bush and Obama are pretty much one in the same.

Also, I would not turn down a beer from Obama.

Given a choice of any, I’d take Clinton on a big boat on Minnetonka or the St. Croix.

Countries headed into a 2nd recession, stock market has plunged over 1000 points in the past week and the president is flying around the country on FUND RAISER ONE. Mr. President please stop giving speeches on jobs and the economy and come up with a plan before you drive us off a cliff.

    OK, back to the light-heartedness
(this one headed south a for bit there . . . trying to stem the tide . . .)

So while driving to work this AM, I heard a little quip from the POTUS on the radio

“I received my AARP membership this week; included was a message asking me to contact the WhiteHouse and urge President Obama to protect MediCare”

Although I’ve never previously been amused by the words of BarryO, I think this one was pretty clever.

Being able to join AARP when you are 50 is just another example of what is screwy in this country. Any of you retiring at 50?

I agree totally with that sentiment Drews.
Part of what amused was that even though it’s a out-of-character for Obama to take a jab at AARP, he made a little poke at ’em in that statement.

On the bright side, oil is under $90 a barrel. We should have $1.85 gas by the weekend….

Pretty sad when Obama’s only answer to our energy crisis is to properly inflate your tires and implement policies that push the country back into a double dip recession. On the good side cheaper gas will save some tax dollars on the Obama Bus tour.
