We have been searching for a resort that is dog friendly and not too far away. I know IDO won’t let me down on this one and I don’t know why I didn’t ask here first.

Not sure if Leech Lake is to far away but I know Huddles resort allows pet. I know they charge a few bucks extra, but nice place.

Dancing Bear Resort NW of Bemidji (I know. That isn’t close by.) Is the most dog-friendly resort ever. You get there and you turn them loose and watch where you step.

Well she said close, so I thought 2 hours. Now she says 3.5 hours. The other problem is we want to go in Oct.

Thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming if you know more.

Just looked at Dancing Bear. Wow, I don’t think it could be more perfect. Our friend has 2 French Bulldogs, which the owner has shown. Alpacas? Miniature Horse? Yak? Michelle might cry if we don’t go.

..and for me, the DNR lake survey makes it look like a good lake for Oct feedbag bass!

The owner is a good guy who loves to fish. You might be able to talk him into a side trip to Upper Red or one of the smaller lakes for big pike. And if the bears aren’t sleeping you can catch their act at the reservation dump. You just drive in and watch them from the car. Fun place, I think your family will like it.
