Ok, I’ll admit I’m just lazy and did not search for the answer to this, flame away if you may. Anyway, what does a guy need to do to get him and his family over the border and back for a quick get away? Everyone need passports? Birth certs ok on the boys? Vacuum the seats on the truck out really well? I’ve heard differing stories, good news is everyone has a clean record (even me since that bribe money changed hands).
The boys are 9 so I’m confused by this statement.
“…requires that by January 1, 2008, travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States.”
There’s an office in Cottage Grove. By using the location look up you can get that clarified from the horses mouth so to speak.
It’s odd they don’t have a link to what’s acceptable for under 18.
PS you could be lucky and they wouldn’t be allowed back into the States.

that’s what I thought too. anybody crossing down into Tijuana these days would have to have their head examined..

My bad. CA as in Canada! Hey BK, change the subject line, will ya? Lord knows I been to the other CA too many time to count, nice to visit but you can have it other than that.

FYI-
Stopped in the friendly DMV in Stillwater today. Place was empty.
In 20 minutes (I had my photo from Wallgreens that saved me $2 and the on line application completed) I was out the door $81. lighter in my wallet. (good for 10 years)
Picked up a CERTIFIED birth certificate, and applied for the passport CARD (only good for driving across the border).
Should have it before the second week of August, but can monitor the activity on-line.
