droid weather app

I’ve got a droid 2 global phone (can’t say I’m real thrilled, but that’s another discussion), and I’m currently using weatherbug. Seems to be ok with a few bugs. But the radar works well. My question is, does anyone have any fav weather apps that also show barometric pressure? I can’t see where my weatherbug does.

Also, I’m using the free weatherbug. If I buy the upgraded version of said app, what does that entail? Worth the buy? Thanks

Try RadarNow. Good radar map and barometer.

I have weather bug elite. I don’t remember the difference, maybe animated radar? Anyway, with the elite (maybe free version the same) if you click on the current conditions it opens up a screen with more details, including barometer.

If you want to see the barometer changes and trend, I believe My-Cast would be the way to go.

I also use the Radar Now app. It has been great so far.

I use radar now as well. Even in the “Elite” weather bug app, the animated radar map sometimes does not load all the tiles for the radar, so there will be parts missing.

Radar now is great because it does just what the name implies with no frills. You go straight to the nearest radar based on your location and it loads a loop that goes back quite a few hours.

I have to thank IDO for the radar now info a few months back.

If you like radar now for the radar, try Rainy Days. Much better radar. Double tap to zoom in, touch and hold to zoom out. Overlays the radar over google maps. It is scrollable, and you can zoom out as far as you wish. I used to use radar now until I discovered Rainy Days.

Awesome, thanks guys! Looks like I’ll have something to look at on the droid when I get to work tonight. (Why do it on MY time, right? )

I used to use Radarnow but switched to Mycast, it has a great radar that you can scroll right or left to see if rain is developing just off screen, it also gives barometric pressure, also dew points, actual temp. and feels like temp. I would highly recommend it. It also gives the 7 day forecast. There is a paid version and a free version, the only difference is a small bar at the top of the screen with an ad in it.

I forgot I had this other one loaded. Weather Reality. I wouldn’t use it as a safety tool on the boat, but it is a augmented reality app. Basically, you hold it up and point the phone in different directions and you can see the radar in perspective, plus current conditions.

If I didn’t explain that well, think of it as the Google Sky Map of weather.

For those of you that were amazed by Google Sky Map when you first got your phone, do you still use it? There are a few maps that are so cool and I could use, but I forget about them.
