Fireworks in a boat?

Obviously shooting fireworks off in a boat would probably be a bad idea.

What I’m wondering is can anyone reccomend a good place to take the boat out and watch a firework display from a boat?

I think St.Paul’s will be weak this year, and the sherrif’s on the water are crazy and you can’t get a real good view.

Stillwater’s will im sure be crazy, probably too crazy, plus launch and loading may be an issue…

Any suggestions in the metro type area? I’d like to keep a drive to a minimum, but I’m open to other options.

You can check out the Prior Lake show. They have their display at Lakefront Park which would be good from a boat.

Truth be told 90% of my posting comes from my phone now, I have no idea how it double posted the same run on sentence twice.

The show was pretty awesome, ti’s so called “Block party” was a joke! 2 places to buy beer. One that sold a hot dog a Hamburger and a pulled pork sandwich, and a bag of chips, was the only food choice for families… I think they had one game or something like toss a bean bag a some bowling pins, thankfully they did have a live band that was decent, otherwise, really pathetic, I mean they hyped it on the radio, and all. Parking was terrible to leave, but all in all we’d done it again, we’d tailgate at our car like the smart people did. a joke! 2 places to buy beer.

Opera mini 6 is messed up for posting it’ll probably double posted something again.

Stillwater has by far one of the best Fireworks shows I have ever seen in MN. I’ve spent the last 4-5 years up there watching them on the 4th and plan to be there again this year. By boat or land this is the best Fireworks you will see in MN,

For me….Mille Lacs hands down….. but your too late for this year (sunday night this year, mostly private party shows all around) can’t be beat watching a show 9 x 18 miles around

For a ground show, we used to go to Grantsburg, WI for waterskips and they put a he77 of a show on there

Speaking of private parties, anyone know the fine for illegal fireworks in Mpls????

I think after this weekend I should start saving for next year, just in case

Although considering the boomers we heard, I’m not so sure the police were out in force capturing those using them.

I get the feeling the police aren’t too concerned when people do it on their property, unless someone calls in a complaint. That or they have a full on fireworks show going on over their house. It’d be pretty tough for them to track down the M-80s going off everywhere.

    Ah….describe “full on fireworks” please…:)

Most of what we seen/hear was stuff that got launched skyward.

Seems motar type stuff was popular in my neighborhood.

Not sure I’d light one of them off in a boat though, it tip over it’d get awful interesting in the boat…:)
