If they added a Liquor Dept and sales reps in Hooters style outfits we’d all be loving it.

I really have no complaints with the Woodbury Gander. If they don’t have it, I just go to the next place here in town. Plenty of competition up here.-J.

This thread, would be like me saying, because one guy is a dick on IDO, that everyone is ???

I wonder how many of you defending Gander contributed negative stuff about a certain place on a certain pool with new ownership? Oh I know it is different because Gander isn’t under new ownership. But my point is everyone is saying, if you don’t like it, don’t go there, stop posting about it, which is the same as that other thread.

Not me… I have the same attitude about all things related like this…. I have a hard time running down anyone trying to make a living in this or any economy. Changes happen, in ownership, in what they stock, in personnel… but I learned long ago, don’t throw the baby out with the bath water… and don’t throw rocks. (That is, don’t throw rocks…PERIOD.) Nothing wrong with complaining to the management or even the worker who has little control over inventory , but to paint with a w i d e brush & post for thousands… WRONG !!!

I didn’t think that you did. Any others posters though?

I don’t think there is anything wrong with expressing negative opinions on a company. Sure you can go to the manager or write a letter, but one person is easy to ignore. Plus, it isn’t my responsibility to make another company better, but I do feel it is my duty to protect and inform people I consider friends or peers.

I do agree that lumping all the floor people together is unfair. I cannot remember a bad experience with the people there and they have been helpful. The problem with Fleet Farm is there is no one around and you are left to your own devices, so you better know exactly what you need and are looking for.

My only possible complaint would have been having to wait unusually long for someone to help with bait, because sometimes it is unattended and you have to ring a door for help. But it didn’t bother me because I understand they can’t pay someone to sit back there during slow times and they are probably helping other people.

We are in agreement then… post a bad experience about the store itself, not an issue. Post it about a whole corp. and all the employees, affecting many not related to your issue = bad idea and policy
