So to not hijack the boat cleat thread…

Brett is on fire this year and 24lbs is a heck of a weight in these conditions. I figure upper 50’s wins this so Tommy need to catch 10lbs in two days.

I bet it is a shoot out for second between Maury and Brett.

I am also curious to see if Tommy runs this up or sandbags his good areas for future events. I guess it all depends on the popularity of the spots he is fishing.

So Brett’s behind first place by 25 pounds in the AIM tourney and you think he’s going to struggle to keep 2nd place?

With time on his Brett’s side Tommy better not sandbag if he wants to take 1st place home. I spent 3.5 minutes with Brett teaching him everything I know about walleye fishing. I have confidence in the man.

King is a good fisherman indeed but Tommy is known for HUGE bags and I being the river rat he is I think he will hold. He has the world record for any pro tourny with 3 day 15 fish 138.28 lbs – a 9.22 lb average. Gonna be fun to watch the weigh ins the next 2 days.

Since I don’t know Mr. Tommy, I can’t speak about him.

However it’s hard not to pull for a genuinely good guy.

I’ve seen Brett relaxing…he still was wearing his white hat.

    You guys are so silly!

I’m not following those scaly fish, I’m following Brett!

…even though he’s made a poor choice in the type of fish he targets.

Oh baby, Lampman has made this alot more interesting then I thought it would be. Tommy better turn on the jets cause he is gunning for him.

Brett is a top-notch guy no doubt. He is still in great shape for AOY.

    What happened to Maury??

Wow is all I can say. It will take Tommy some time to get over this one. There was a lot of great local sticks in this one and Lampman put together 3 fantastic days. Classic tortoise vs hair. Hang in there Tommy you still put on one heck of a performance.

Thanks everyone just caught up with this thread. I would really like to thank BK for all the lessons at the campfires on walleye fishing that`s for sure .It has been a fun year so far and hope to seal the deal in Akaska.BK last I checked I can use bullheads in Akaska so maybe those lessons will pay off after all!!!! Rob showed us all in Dubuque how important years of knowledge can be on a river can be as conditions change and he did one hell of a job adjusting. Lots of spots to fish can be key on a river and he had em dialed.

    Thanks again all
