I know one guy that catches a few fish down that way. I’ll see if I can find him.

    The keys to Spirit Lake:
the best bites are low light, early and late.
The weeds are the key to walleye , fish just above them with light weights to avoid snagging.
If it is calm, slip bobber in the weeds.
The west shoreline produces more walleye, Stoney point has nice smallies.
Pull plugs just outside weed lines, should be 15 foot of water this time of year.

    No problem,
Someone finally asked about something I can offer an answer to. Spirit Lake is a personal favorite of mine and an overlooked underappreciated fishery. Please don’t hose it up, ok?

South end, out in front of the park in the weeds. Drag a 4 foot snell behind a lindy style weedless weight, try a variety of baits, don’t forget crawlers. It seems to be better in the early AM than evening. The perch secret is out, they were hammered last fall and winter, you may pick up a few. Crappies, not sure if there are a good population. There are a few smallies though. PM Shaley he lives up there. The tackle outlet store across the road from Berkley can have some nice slightly blemished rods at a nice price, once in a while they have other stuff too.
