I know advertising makes the world go ’round; but those can-am pop-outs are really starting to annoy me…..

Its all about mouse control, man.

The motorcycle sales season will be over soon.

Well, if I had good control I probably wouldn’t spend so much time here….. They are pretty cool looking bikes. What kind of reception would they get in Sturgis I wonder?

Anyone ever ride one? Curious if it’s like a snowmobile on tar…

I would think it would handle a bit more like a really posh 4 wheeler but I haven’t rode one yet either.

Seems to be two basic models, Sport and Touring, the touring one can run over 20k, not exactly cheap.
The sporting model is quite a bit cheaper and your now seeing used ones out there for a bit more reasonable prices.

Also seems the first couple years had some problems and new older models can still be found at some dealers, supposedly there’s updates for whatever was wrong with them…steering I think, but not sure.

They are popular with the older bike crowd, the newer touring bikes weigh so much now they can be hard to handle for some.

Wife is looking at one, for better or worse.

Where I used to work we sold them. I was there when they launched it and we also had factory direct demo’s as they wanted all the people on them they could get. We rode them every chance we got. The originals did have a few recalls but nothing major. I myself didn’t care for the originals as they were more like a sport bike for sitting position. Wow do they have power! Rotax power for sure! James is correct at least with the early ones they handle like a really nice cruising bike. You can push them in a corner HARD and that inside wheel doesn’t come up. I brought one home the weekend my folks were up here and they were 67 at the time and they took a spin on one. Their comment was they would like more of a cruiser which they now have. A great value especially if your thinking of buying a trike. I also know a couple that used to ride motorcycles all over and she started having trouble with her back and sold her bike. They now have a Can Am Spyder cruiser and she can again ride all day! They love it! Stop by a dealer I’m sure they would let you take one for a spin! Getting you to ride one is the first step! Just a little insight!

Everytime I see a dude on a tricycle motorcycle I think to myself now there’s a guy who probably gets teased a lot by his fellow riders and the old Sesame Street song “Which one of these does not belong here” comes to mind. I think old or disabled guys should get a pass…or guys with really fat girlfriends…or the guy that has to haul all the beer to Sturgis, but everyone else should be on TWO wheels if they are able. Anything else is unAmerican.

    Teased?
Actually not by those who have rode for a long time and understand we all ride what fits our needs, I imagine the young Harley riders all tease them, but they don’t count..:)
